De stadsdelen van Edinburgh

In Edinburgh centrum zijn eigenlijk drie wijken, namelijk New Town, het historische Old Town en Haymarket. In de stadsdelen New en Old Town zijn veel toeristische attracties te vinden, dus wil je niet veel reizen is het raadzaam om in een van deze wijken een hotel te pakken. Hierbij is Old Town wat historischer en New Town minder fraai, maar zijn hier wel meer winkels. Beide stadsdelen hebben echter goede en redelijk goedkope hotels. In Old Town kun je bij High Street en Grassmarket terecht voor leuke hotels en appartementen. Haymarket ligt meer aan het westen van Edinburgh en is dus iets verder weg van de bezienswaardigheden. Dit merk je echter vaak ook aan de goedkopere prijs en de attracties zijn goed te voet of met het openbaar vervoer te bereiken.
